The GSOS Final 2009


The Grand Slam of Slots was run over a period of 11 days and generated huge interest. For the first time ever, it offered one person a chance of a lifetime - to become an instant millionaire. That dream came true when Pattoned of the UK achieved a win box of 109780 and he walked away with a cool €1,000,000.

An additional 475 people shared in a prize pot of €274,000.

Tickets to this event weren’t for sale and the players had to earn their seats in qualifying tournaments running in the 4 months leading up to the Final.

The final was played on everyone’s favourite slot game – Tomb Raider.

The Grand Slam of Slots was a resounding success and we are looking forward to running a similar competition in the future.

How to Play in a Slots Tournament

How to take part in our scheduled tournaments
You need to have a Real Money account with the Casino to take part in our weekly tournaments. If you don’t already have an account, click here to download the software and register a Real Money account.


  • Log into the Casino Software
  • Click on the ‘Games View’ button in the lower right hand corner in the casino lobby
  • From the ‘Choose your Category’ list, choose ‘Tournaments’
  • Click on ‘Slots’
  • Click on ‘Casino Special’ {this will change to The Palace Group once it comes through}
  • From the ‘Choose Your Game’ list, select the game that you want to partake in
  • Click on the ‘Join’ button in the far right window
  • If you do not have an Alias yet, choose your Alias that you want to use while playing and let the games begin!

What are Tournaments?

  • An online slots tournament is played in real time against other players, with a live leader board
  • It starts and ends at a specific time
  • All players compete for the Prize Pool. Prizes are given to pre-specified positions.
  • The aim is to get your ‘Win Box’ total as high as you can – this will be posted as your Rank on the Leader board. The player with the highest ranking on the Leader board wins the prizes as specified in the prize schedule.

Some Terms Explained

Continue Play If you chose the ‘Continue Playing’ option, you will be given additional play time and coins. These coins will be added to any coins you already have. Your “Win Box” will not reset and all new winnings will be added to your original score.
Continue Play Time Play time limit when player selects the continue play option
Continue Coins The number of coins the player starts with when selecting the continue play option
Continue Cost Cost to the player to if they decide to select to continue play.
Rebuy A rebuy is an option to pay an additional fee and begin paling the tournament again from the start. Your highest overall score will be placed on the leaderboard.
Re-buy Play Time Time limit for players when selecting the re-buy option
Re-buy Coins Number of coins player starts with when selecting re-buy option.
Re-buy Cost Cost to player if they decide to select the re-buy option.
Free Spins This is a feature of the game. No coins will be used up during your free spins. All winnings from the Bonus round will be added to your “Win Box”.

Terms and Conditions

The “Grand Slam of Slots” Terms and Conditions are additional to the current general terms and conditions of CASINO (hereafter referred to as ‘The Casino’) and therefore do not replace any pre-existing Terms & Conditions that appear on our website.


Any additional questions or requests for information should be directed to the Casino support staff.

The “Grand Slam of Slots Final” is open to all real players at the Casino via Invitation or Qualification ONLY.

Tournaments can be only be played in the downloadable version of the Casino software. Players need to have a “Real Money” account in order to take part in any tournament. Players will be required to create a tournament alias (MPV alias) before they can partake in any tournament.

Players that have won, been invited or qualified for entry to the Grand Slam of Slots will have their entry confirmed via email and added to the player’s list in the Casino tournament lobby within 72 hours of being awarded the entry.

The Casino will not enter into any discussions around the validity and fairness of awarding the seats. Seats to the Grand Slam of Slots Final awarded by the Casino cannot be exchanged for cash, bonus cash or transferred to another player.

The Casino reserves the right to invite selected players for free entry into the Grand Slam of Slots.

Individual players are only allowed 1 (one) entry per qualifying tournament and the Grand Slam Final tournament. The Casino reserves the right to remove players or aliases from any tournament, if it is deemed that a player has entered more than once. The Casino reserves the right to provide/allow more than 1 alias per player for the Final.

The casino reserves the right to void any winnings from an individual player where that player has entered the tournament more than once.

The slot game to be used for the “Grand Slam of Slots” is Tomb Raider.  Tomb Raider, Lara Croft, the Tomb Raider logo, Eidos and the Eidos logo are trademarks of Eidos Interactive Ltd. All rights reserved.

The first prize for the promotion is €1,000,000 (one million Euros). This prize will be awarded to the individual who finishes first on the Grand Slam Final tournament leader board. A further €299,500 in cash will be split between the next 449 places on the Grand Slam Final tournament leader board and 32 selected special positions.

To gain a ticket into the Grand Slam Final tournament and to compete for the prizes, players must participate in any of the various qualifying tournaments associated with the competition and must win one of the available tickets to the final tournament.

The cash prizes in the weekly qualifying tournament are awarded in Euros (€) and will be converted to the currency of the players’ casino account. Any foreign exchange rates applied will be decided by the Casino, and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.

Prize money will be credited manually to the players bonus account. This can take up to 72 hours.

During the Grand Slam of Slots Final
The Grand Slam of Slots final takes place from 16:00 GMT Thus 22nd Oct to 19:00 GMT Mon 2nd Nov
Each player will be provided with 9000 starting chips with one hour “Play Time” in which to use up all the chips.

Each alias in the “Grand Slam of Slots” Final will be allowed an UNLIMITED amount of Re-Buys and up to 3 Add-ons per score.

If, whilst playing at in the “Grand Slam of Slots”, you win a sum of money or any other prize regarded by the Casino as worthy of publicity, you hereby give the Casino permission to utilize your name, photograph and the content of any interviews relating to your win and any such prize.  The Casino will do its utmost to protect your privacy at all times.

When a player’s coins are used or “play time” has been completed, the player’s score will be added to the leaderboard.  Only the highest score will be recorded to the leaderboard and qualify for a prize, previous lower scores will not qualify for additional prizes.

All Casino promotions are subject to ongoing review. The Casino reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without giving notice.

The Casino reserves the right to change, discontinue or cancel these tournaments at any time for any reason whatsoever without notice to the end users, using reasonable efforts to provide such notification in advance.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure there are no malfunctions with the software we cannot guarantee that the system will never be faulty.  In the event of a system malfunction every effort will be made to restore services to full functionality as quickly as possible to enable the tournament to continue until its completion or the tournament could be rescheduled to a suitable date/time. In the event of a serious system failure all bets could be considered void.

All tournament details will be emailed to the relevant Real Account holders before each tournament.
Employees of the Casino, their agencies or their families are not eligible to enter this competition.
