Hi Opt I Card Counting System

Many card counting systems are designed for use with multi-pack games – however, if you prefer to play single pack blackjack, you can opt for a traditional system such as the Hi-Opt I Card Counting System.

Although the Hi-Opt I system remains one of the simplest methods of card counting, it remains a potentially powerful tool against the dealer – stories of professional blackjack players making millions of dollars using Hi-Opt I are not fairytales!

Realistically, you can expect the Hi-Opt I method to boost your probability of making a long-term profit from casino blackjack – and if you’re highly skilled and lucky, you could potentially make serious cash.

To keep a running count using the Hi-Opt I System, simply assign the following values to dealt cards:
 3, 4, 5, 6: +1
10, Jack, King, Queen: -1
2, 7, 8, 9, Aces: 0
By eliminating Aces from the count, the system is streamlined without any loss in power.

The Hi-Opt I Card Counting System allows you to get an extra edge over the dealer by keeping a side-count of Aces – this smart feature can be seriously advantageous to your chances of beating the dealer.

If you take a logical look at one deck of cards – statistically you’d expect one Ace to be played for each quarter of a pack – of course, in the real world the Aces won’t always be evenly distributed, so we can take advantage of this fact by determining whether the pack is Ace ‘rich or poor’.

If a quarter-deck has been dealt with no Aces, add +1 to the count.

On the other hand, if 2 Aces have been dealt, then you’d -1 from the count.

The Hi-Opt system is relatively fast to master – however the most complex calculation you’ll need to make is determining the true count. Make sure to keep a sharp eye on the number of cards played, but the tricky part is the division required, because in single deck games you’ll always be dividing by a fraction. If one quarter of a single deck had been played, with a running count of 4, the true count would equal 4 divided by 0.75 = 4

Of course, by playing the Hi-Opt I System online at Spin Palace Casino, you’ll have the instant advantage of being able to make a note of all your calculations, rather than having to do all your card counting in your head!
