Welcome to one of the most awesome blackjack games which has just been released by Spin Palace casinos. The name of the game is Pontoon Gold and we are sure that it is going to be a hit amongst blackjack players world-wide because of its quality and appeal. Pontoon (which is known in many countries as Blackjack) is played with not one but eight decks of cards which are all shuffled before each game. Pontoon Gold comes with simple instructions and superb graphics and technology as part of our commitment to making your playing experience a first class one.
Beginner players should take note that the most important aim of any blackjack game is to beat the Dealer’s hand and this can be achieved in 2 different ways. Firstly the player can obtain a hand which is stronger than the dealer’s (without exceeding 21) or alternatively, the dealer’s hand must go bust before the player’s. Pontoon, or blackjack, occurs when you obtain a hand comprising an Ace as well as a card value of ten. It is the strongest hand one can hold.
Here are some basic definitions of terminology that you will need to understand before you play the game or any other blackjack game:
- Hit: Take another card.
- Stand: Take no more cards.
- Double down: Double the bet, take exactly one more card, and then stand.
- Split: This option is available only when both cards have the same value. The bet is doubled and each card becomes the first card in a new hand.
- Surrender: Forfeit half the bet and give up the hand.
Take note of the following rules regarding Pontoon Gold before you play for real money.
- You may only bet on one hand per game.
- The Dealer peeks at his two cards to check for a Pontoon. If the Dealer has Pontoon, the game is over.
- Pontoon always beats any other hand with a value of 21 or less. This rule also applies when a hand is split.
- All face cards - Jacks, Kings and Queens have a value of 10.
- Aces have 2 values - either 1 or 11.
