Online Baccarat Rules

For many casual online casinos, baccarat is a bit of an enigma - something they see in the James Bond movies, but still refrain from giving a go. However, in reality - baccarat is a simple game, which can be played by both casual and serious players. What's more - you can play it with cool strategies, to boost your fun and potential winnings.....
How to bet?
Unlike some card games, blackjack bets are placed before the first deal is made - with three betting options:
- The banker (1.29% casino edge)
- The player (1.01% casino edge)
- The tie (15.75% casino edge)

Placing winning bets.
The dealer deals an initial two cards, to both the player and the banker. The highest ranking 2 card baccarat combo is a score of 9. Cards have the following values:
- aces = +1
- cards 2 - 9 = face value
- 10's and face cards = 0
One unique aspect of baccarat scoring is that cards of 10 = 0. So - a 10 + 7, would actually only total 7, not 17! Before you get gaming, study the baccarat score chart and play-out scenarios:
- 8 or 9 = freeze hand
- Tie = ends round
- Player hand 6 or more = stand.
- Player score of 5 or less = 1 more card.
- Banker hand of 7+ = stand.
- Banker hand of 0 or 1 = 1 more card.
- Banker hand = 3, and gamer's third card is not 8 = house hits.
- Banker hand = 4, and the player's third hand is not a 1, 8, 9 or 0 = house hits.
- Banker total = 5, and the player has a 4, 5, 6 or 7 = house hits.
- Banker combo = 6, and the player's third card is a 6 or 7 = house hits.
Winning player bets payout at 1:1, banker wins at 1:1 (-5% commission) and ties at 8:1.
