Tomato Cage Tree Magic
Yes, you read that right, and you’re probably wondering why you didn’t think of it before. A tomato cage used for winding tomato plants up and allowing them to grow to their full glory is not just limited to use with vegetables. Snap one up cheap, or even drag an unused one from the garden, pop it into a pot, and decorate with a variety of shiny ornaments that catch the eye. For extra points top the whole thing off with a giant colourful ribbon, and even add some traditional flickering lights for extra effect.
One of these, done up extra fancy, can even replace a traditional Christmas tree, which will save a pretty penny. Plus, it will impress guests to no end.
DIY Advent Calendar
Those advent calendars sure are popular these days, but won't exactly be winning any prizes for being creative. It turns out you can make your own, and create something truly spectacular. Using your old tinsel, draping it across the room, and hanging mini-galvanized buckets, or other handy containers from it, a DIY advent calendar is as simple as dropping a little gift into each of the buckets.
The trick here is that you may want to minimise fuss by perhaps just focusing on a few days, as opposed to the whole month of December. Either way, we guarantee that this little project will be a great deal more impressive than a cardboard advent calendar picked up from the local store.
