As always, the objective in this variation of Blackjack is to reach a handle total of as near to 21 as possible without going any higher, or best of all to get a total of 21 exactly. Before any cards are dealt you’ll need to place your bet, and then the Deal button will become available for you to click.

In this version of the game 2 standard decks of 52 playing cards are used. You are pitted against the Dealer, and you both get a starting hand of 2 cards. You’ll be able to see both of yours, obviously, and 1 of the Dealer’s as well. With this information, you need to decide what you’re going to do next. Your options are:

To Double, and double your wager and be dealt another card
To Hit, and get another card
To Split, if you have been dealt a pair, and spilt the hand into 2 hands of 1 card each. You’ll automatically get the extra cards that you need to play both hands
To Stand, setting your hand as it is and ending your turn

The royal cards are all worth 10, and the number cards each carry their face value. Aces are worth 11 or 1, depending on what the other card is. The Dealer must Hit until reaching a total of 17, and then has to Stand. For a hand to be considered Blackjack, it has to total 21 and contain an ace. If you get Blackjack you automatically win and get paid out 3:2, and if you tie Blackjack with the Dealer it is considered a draw. You will Push, meaning your wager will be returned. You’ll also win if your hand total is under 21 and the Dealer hand Busts and exceeds this, or if both hand totals are under 21 but yours is higher.
