The Game Setup
Double Exposure Blackjack is set out in exactly the same way as most other online Blackjack games. The game consists of a single Blackjack table with the dealer situated at the top of the screen and the player at the bottom.
The game buttons and the player’s chips are situated at the bottom of the game with the rules printed on the table. The game begins with players placing their bets.
The Double Exposure Blackjack Difference
To place a bet, simply click on the chips and place them on the betting area. This is where things get interesting. In Double Exposure Blackjack, the dealer deals the player two cards face up and himself two cards face up as well. This makes it a whole lot easier to figure out your next move. In Blackjack the aim is to beat the dealer by getting a score higher than the dealer without going over 21.
Since you can already see what the dealer is holding, you already know if you need to take another card or if your hand is stronger than the dealer’s hand. The guesswork is completely removed. What is left is for the dealer to beat your hand and possibly go bust in the process. Because of these benefits, Double Exposure Blackjack does have a lower set of payouts.
What to Expect
For starters, the dealer must hit on soft 17. This might come as a surprise to some players. To add to this, Blackjack pays out even money and not 3:2 as you would find in a standard game. In addition, when there is a tie, the dealer automatically wins unless it is a Blackjack tie in which case it is a push.
Either way, Double Exposure Blackjack is an exciting and novel way to play the game, challenging players to adapt a new strategy.
